![]() ![]() If that doesn't make it clear, I can try making a short video of it, although that is a three handed operation. I have a very hard time believing that is normal behavior. That happens only because the ejector is forcing the rounds in the magazine to point upwards. When there's a loaded magazine in my G19.5, the empty case starts to get ejected by the next round in the magazine before it even touches the ejector. When I take the magazine out the the G19.5 and rack the slide to eject an empty case or a dummy round, it comes out of the chamber straight and doesn't start to come out of the extractor's grip until it hits the ejector, just like it always does (loaded mag or not) with my G19.4. I've ordered one that has the part number 47021, since I've heard that solves ejection issues and is the standard part in the G19X, and I'm hoping maybe the one I have is out of spec and this replacement will sit a little higher up and not tilt the rounds in the magazine as much.Ĭlick to expand.I might not be explaining it well, but I can tell you what is going on with my G19.5 is not right. All of this is with stock glock magazines, although I can feel the same hangup happening with magpul pmags as well now that I know to look for it.Ĭurrently the ejector in my G19.5 is the one marked 30274. I ran a magazine of my carry ammo through it before I left and that all extracted well enough, although I did have failure to feed on the last round, just to make things worse. I'm guessing the reason it finally manifested itself in this failure to extract is probably a combination of the crappy aluminum cased ammo and the cold weather, but all the same I'm now no longer comfortable carrying this gun. I've never noticed this rough extraction before, but the ejector isn't loose or anything so I'm thinking it's always been there and I just never noticed it. This is all pretty concerning to me because this particular gen 5 has been my carry gun for the last 14 months or so. The extractor in my gen 4 G19 touches the rounds in the magazine as well, but nowhere near as much, and extraction is completely smooth in that gun compared to my gen 5. ![]()
